Our client offers a range of lifestyle products that are not only unique but stunning! Their approach to handpicking products that will make every home inspiring and beautiful is one of a kind. They are now looking for an innovative like-minded Buyer to join their fantastic team! What does this Buyer role involve? Constant analysis and reviews of your category performance, whilst keeping a close eye on the market and spotting opportunities for new exciting product designs that will lead the way in lifestyle trends This is a creative and unique retailer, so you will need to be able to think outside the box in order to develop and implement beautiful product ranges that is niche and most desirable for your customers Working closely with the Buying Manager to deliver commercially balanced ranges Manage supplier relationships with frequent supplier visits Working directly with the factory or agent to brief and develop own label lines; a good technical understanding of product & ability to manage testing process Working with the Merchandising Team to recognise and manage trading risks & achieve target margin; analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends Managing product cycle from selection to publication online or in the catalogue What qualities will you need for this Buyer role? As a Buyer you will ideally have had experience in growing a lifestyle category with a proven track record of maximising sales and profit. Be creative and show a real passion for delivering beautiful quality products at the forefront of every decision you make. Experience and confidence in managing International sourcing/supplier relationships, dealing with the likes of Far East, India and Europe. You must be an excellent communicator and negotiator with the ability to influence decision making, working alongside suppliers and merchandisers to ensure effective promotional planning, pricing and stock availability is maximised for your category.
