Senior Buyer - In-directs??30,000 - ??40,000 plus bonus12 month Contract or PermanentAs a specialist in Procurement, the role holder is responsible for professional procurement support to the businesses. Responsible for the Marketing, Travel and Fleet Spend Categories, taking a lead role in developing category strategies and project plans.Duties??? Engages with stakeholders to understand their needs and gain buy-in. ??? Manages sourcing processes using an e-sourcing tool. ??? Manages suppliers and agreements to deliver the best possible ongoing results.??? Supports and where appropriate leads the implementation of Global Policy regionally.??? Manages all aspects of these spend categories including supplier performance and agreements. Develops expert understanding of category details such as marketplace, best practice and industry trends.??? Leads sourcing activity, setting up project teams and delivering the best value in a timely fashion.??? Research current contracts and outside sources.??? Manage purchasing related risks in a professional manner.??? First class commercial acumen & understanding of UK and European commercial law. ??? Understanding potential differing needs between Internal & External customers. ??? Proficient in managing/leading multi-location/global projects.Education and Training Requirements??? Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business or Engineering. ??? Extensive complex purchasing experience related to the spend categories, with a demonstrable track record of success??? E Sourcing expertise & strong SAP experience desirable??? Fluent written and spoken French and / or Italian language skills desirable??? Ideally has Shared Service and Matrix environment exposure???
