We have a fantastic opportunity for an Insolvency Cashier to join our clients Corporate Recovery team based in Chatham!
Paying GBP20, 000 GBP25, 000 per annum
9 12 month contract

About the Insolvency Cashier role:
You will be an integral member of the Corporate Recovery department, providing cashier and administrative services. You will contribute to the provision of an excellent service to a diverse range of clients, providing support to administrators and managers as well as Report to managers and partners, taking responsibility for completing tasks accurately, to deadline and liaising with the client in line with the Client Charter.
This exciting role may require you to travel from other offices from time to time so a full UK driving license will be required for this role.
As the successful Insolvency Cashier you will:
* Take responsibility for a large portfolio of all types of insolvency assignments, including trading and administrations.
* Perform bank reconciliations in Sterling and foreign currency
* Open and close bank accounts on behalf of liquidators, trustees, shareholders etc.
* Monitor bank balances and payment of funds
* Raise cheques for payment (as requested by administrator) for payments such as staff costs, advertising, dividends, estate agents etc.
* Bank cheques and cash as requested by administrator or as submitted for payment by external parties
* Check that expected funds have been received, with details logged on to IPS
* Record cheques received and produce receipt voucher.
* Complete journal entries, adding bank interest and charges
* Ensure that accounts do not go overdrawn
* When requested by administrator, Invest funds on fixed term deposit
* Complete VAT returns
* Produce statutory receipts and payments accounts (in various formats) in accordance with the Insolvency rules, regulations, and deadlines, which will be sent to Companies House, Courts and the Accountant in Bankruptcy depending on type of Insolvency case
* General Administration duties as and when required
To be the successful Insolvency Cashier, it is required that you are educated at GCSE level or equivalent, achieving in maths and English.
It is advantageous if you have had some experience within an Insolvency environment and/or AAT qualified as well as experience of using IPS.
The successful Insolvency Cashier must be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, especially Excel, word and databases and must possess a strong knowledge of insolvency rules and statutory requirements.
If you are determined and dedicated to facilitating the teams growth plan, this will be the perfect opportunity for you to offer support to trust team clients and show aptitude and potential to develop within our prestigious clients trust moving forward.
To be the successful Trust Supervisor it is essential that you have a high level of technical expertise, as well as previous experience within a trust team.
Due to the nature of the role it is required that you hold a STEP membership or are willing to study for the qualification.
