Maintenance Engineer required on a permanent basis for world renowned manufacturing company based in Plymouth
The successful applicant will responsible for preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as well as responding to emergency machine break downs throughout the plant; involvement with new design, installation and movements of existing machines; overhaul and repair of machines and equipment. Ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose. Applicants will be highly motivated and self-driven with the ability to undertake shift work
Main Duties
- Carry out all duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Fitter, Electrical
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults on Fanuc or Heidenhein controlled CNC machines
- Provide advisory and expert focus for all electronic aspects linked to the full range of site maintenance department activities, for example with the design control/operating programs for CNC systems on new & existing production equipment.
- Implement and support TPM/PPM across the site.
- Carry out related duties as required by departmental supervisor.
- Able to fault find/program PLC controlled equipment such as Siemens or Allan Bradley
Experience / Qualifications required
- Extensive electrical maintenance experience gained from a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent electrical maintenance apprenticeship
- Essential to be able to read technical drawings
- PLC experience
- 17th Edition
- Hydraulic system knowledge would be advantageous
