ESTIMATOR & BUYER - CONSTRUCTION

• Undertake duties as requested within areas of Procurement, Supplier liaison, ordering of materials, site services.• Develop the company supply chain including sourcing, vetting and monitoring new subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that our client maintain a competitive edge.• Complete take-off from tender drawings to produce Bills of Quantity for pricing.• Produce tender cost estimates as part of our client's tender proposal.• Price compliant bids in order to optimise profit margin on our clients value • Produce tender documents and specifications for specialist sub-contractors and suppliers and liaise as required.• Undertake site visits / assessments, customer meetings and presentations, all as required to increase the success of each tender and improve the company image and visibility.• Obtain competitive quotations for materials, sub-contractors and suppliers as required to form part of our client's tender submissions.• Provide support to operations and commercial teams once project is secured• Seek feedback from contracts and design departments to continually improve accuracy of tender submissions.• Pro-actively assist with the on-going development and improvement of the company QMS and other operating systems.• Strive to seek out new techniques and materials to progress the company research and development initiatives and improve the competitiveness of our tenders.• Act in accordance with the company values and be an example to others with regard to professional conduct.Reed Specialist Recruitment Limited is an employment agency and employment business
