PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

• Perform various financial accounting and reporting tasks to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Account for and process financial statements and reports under supervision to accurately reflect the company's financial results and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Contributes to the preparation and analysis of management reporting information to support and inform management decisions with regards to financial planning, control and performance management processes.
• Exercises independent judgement within defined practices and procedures, applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve problems of moderate complexity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:


Qualifications - Desirable and Essential:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent)

Experience - Desirable and Essential:

• +>3 years experience in Finance and Accounting roles.
• Experience in management reporting and applicable legislations.
• Sound commercial acumen and understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.
• Property and infrastructure or investment management industry experience preferred.

Technical:

• Experience with TM1 / Cognos / Oracle R12 or similar finance systems.
• Technical financial skills as required.
Personal Attributes • Customer service focus essential.
• Highly detailed oriented and organised in work.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
• Strong proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Commercial orientation, focused on delivering solutions and results.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise work load.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to make the complex simple in pursuit of clear deliverables.
• Enjoys working in a team environment, is engaging and has a down to earth approach.
