We have an excellent opportunity within the Train Service Delivery team for a Head of Train Service Delivery - West.
Based at Harlow Town, you will be responsible for all aspect of Train Service Delivery in the West area. This includes the management of train crew and train running performance, delivering a safe and reliable railway with excellent customer service standards, in line with agreed budgets. You will lead the Train Service Delivery team in line with the Greater Anglia behaviours ensuring the provision of sufficient, competent resources to meet the plan. You will also lead the delivery of excellent customer service through the area Train Service Delivery team. You will establish standards for and hold responsibility for Train crew performance in the area and deliver and develop processes to promote and embed continuous improvement. You will be responsible for first class co-ordination of train service delivery between the area and control centre ensuring the appropriate development and implementation of contingency plans for planned and unplanned perturbations to the train plan including seasonal preparation. You will nurture strong and productive relationships with the appropriate Trade Unions to ensure positive industrial relations are maintained. You will develop and implement robust processes to ensure passenger revenues are protected and income is maximised.
With your railway experience in the operating function, you will have sound knowledge of operating procedures and the Railway Group Standard Rule book. You will be a skilled report writer and have good numerical skills to manage substantial cost budgets. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are also key for this role.
