Principal Engineer (Human Factors) Training Needs Analysis

Would you like to play a key role in the analysis of emerging training needs for all aspects of future submarine design? We currently have a number of vacancies for Principal Engineers (Human Factors) Training Needs Analysis at our site in either Barrow, Filton, Frimley or Broad Oak.

As a Principal Engineer (Human Factors) Training Needs Analysis, you will be delivering high quality training needs analysis to schedule for stakeholder endorsement and project authorisation.

This role will provide you with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of current submarine operating and training practices. You will also get the chance to liaise closely with the Royal Navy customer.


Your main responsibilities as a Principal Engineer (Human Factors) Training Needs Analysis will involve:

Delivering and managing training needs analysis in accordance with JSP 822 (governance, policy and management)

Data gathering exercises by understanding submarine design and examining how it is different to current classes

Engaging with key stakeholders and understanding the Royal Navy's training requirements for future submarines

Conducting and presenting training needs analysis that meets MOD Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) requirements to key stakeholders

Liaising with the Royal Navy, including visits to MOD and Royal Navy bases


Your skills and qualifications as a Principal Engineer (Human Factors) Training Needs Analysis:

Essential:

Demonstrable experience in conducting training needs analysis within a military environment

MOD DSAT requirements knowledge

Solid analytical knowledge from design through to identifying training needs

Report writing experience

Desirable:

Application of training needs analysis to submarine platforms

Previous leadership experience
