Overview
We are currently looking for a design draughtsman to join our successful Cheddar branch. We provide bespoke fabrication solutions for our clients within the Quarrying and Asphalt industry. Due to the successful growth of the company we are now in need of a self-motivated, flexible design draughtsman. You will be tasked with seeing the fabrications through survey, design stages as well as liaising with the fabrication supervisor/ RWC to ensure the most cost effective solutions are sought. Additional duties will include the completion of all relevant documentation in line with BS1090 AND ISO9001 and placing orders for all materials and components. Skills will incorporate a solid understanding of structural mechanical principals and experience in the design of structural steel, staircases and walkways. You will be qualified in 3d CAD but must be able to use 2D when required. All Health and Safety training and PPE will be provided as well as a van and phonefor company use.
Key Skills.
Inventor 3D and AutoCAD 2D.
Demonstrable Experience working within a fabrication environment.
Mechanical principles.
Ability to integrate into management team.
Ability to liaise with clients
Flexible approach.
Self-motivated.
