Financial Accountant
£31,626 per annum
The Financial Accountant is responsible for the reporting, analysis and transaction processing of payroll, the general ledger and fixed assets. As part of these duties the post-holder will prepare monthly reports for internal control and external reporting, whilst leading on the supporting schedules for statutory year-end reporting. Assistance will be provided to the Head of Finance in preparing the statutory accounts, in line with the current SORP, along with leading on the day to day treasury management of college funds. This role plays a key part in improving all of the existing financial services systems and procedures.
Successful applicants will be CCAB part / fully qualified, or qualified by experience, within a similar sized organization and have experience of leading and managing staff and managing cashflow and reconciling general ledgers (including bank reconciliations). Experience / working knowledge of maintaining a computerised fixed asset register and statutory returns, such as VAT is essential.
