Electrical Instructor
Training 2000 is a charitable trust set up by a consortium of Lancashire businesses and is now one of the largest Group Training Associations in England, with over 50 years' experience of delivering high quality work-based learning and training programmes to industry and individuals. We have grown to around 240 staff and have many centres across the North West and other areas of the UK, working with national employers across a wide range of sectors, whilst maintaining local support.
A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical/Electronic Instructor which will be based at the Rolls-Royce site in Derby.
About the Role:
You will have a passion for electrics in particular electrical installation and maintenance (covering wiring and testing of single phase, domestic and three phase systems. You will be able to draw on your industry experience to demonstrate hands on relevant experience.
The Engineering Team are responsible for the Teaching and Instruction for the Apprenticeship Programme at Rolls-Royce. This is delivered by a highly focused and professional team, who report to the Engineering Lead at Rolls-Royce.
You will plan training and development programmes with Apprentices taking individual, professional bodies and business requirements into account and ensuring Apprentices complete programmes effectively through networking with stakeholders both internally and externally to the learning environment.
You will also provide appropriate career development coaching and mentoring to Apprentices whilst on programme.
Requirements:
You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!
- To hold a subject specialist vocational qualification ideally C&G 2382 (17th edition of electrical regulations) C&G 2391/92 (certificate in inspection and testing) – minimum level 3 and completion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
To hold a teaching qualification is desirable.
