Due to continuing business success and growth they now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Quality Supervisor to join their team in Newhouse, Scotland, working 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Quality Supervisor key responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with fundamentals of H&S.
- Arranging containers/orders and onward commodity movements as required by the site.
- Weighing incoming/outgoing containers as per VWM/site procedures ensuring all mandatory data is recorded including the generation and collation of photographic verification and that the documentation is available for inspection and audit purposes.
- Ensuring containers are loaded correctly with the required material and as per order instructions.
- Ensuring outbound material quality is maintained to all legal and contractual specification, minimising risk and financial liability of quality claims.
- Supervising staff associated with sampling, inspection and yard activity with specific regard to the production, storage and onward movement of recyclate and waste streams ensuring the weekly working plan is followed by all relevant staff.
- Supervising the management of non-compliant waste entering /leaving the site ensuring that the correct legal procedures and contractual protocols are followed.
- Completing quarterly EA returns for the site including MRF COP quality data.
- Ensuring the correct and consistent operation and availability of relevant weighing systems and software, and to ensure analytical data is produced and utilised to encourage material quality improvements.
- Maintaining daily, weekly and monthly reporting documentation as required.
- Operating administration systems as applicable to operational needs.
- Compiling reports in an approved manner with full regard to required timescales.
- Carrying out other duties as required ensuring operational efficiency
- Ensuring housekeeping in and around maintained equipment is to a high standard.
- Good knowledge of relevant Waste Management Legislation.
- Good knowledge of H&S regulation and safe systems of work.
- Good knowledge of plant and machinery relevant to waste recycling and recovery.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with other staff, customers, regulators and the public.
- Proven ability to deliver improvements in all areas of responsibility.
- Competent with Microsoft Office packages.
- A good standard of administration, cost control and record keeping.
- Ability to juggle priorities and remain calm under pressure and to display a positive attitude at all times.
- Resilient and self-motivated with ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Ability to motivate staff to deliver production goals.
- Ability to identify problems and produce cost effective solutions.
- Highly organised and efficient.
- Hard working with good time keeping and attendance record.
- A proven track record of man management and production/maintenance management of an industrial/factory type facility.
- Full driving licence.
- English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
