We provide intensive assessment and rehabilitation for a spectrum of neurological conditions including acquired brain injury, spinal injury and stroke. Alongside longer-term support for individuals with progressive neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease and Parkinson’s disease.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST BAND 7

To work independently and innovatively as a highly specialist speech and language therapist supporting both senior and junior SLT colleagues and clinically working within a wider interdisciplinary team.

You must be a skilled practitioner but to continue to maintain and develop relevant expertise through clinical training.

The role involves representing the Lead SLT including attendance at meetings, working groups, policy development groups. You will be actively involved with supervision/mentorship of junior staff and peers and to take full Speech and Language Therapy student placements.

This positions supports the Lead Speech & Language Therapist and the Unit Lead in] establishing and monitoring a robust clinical governance framework for the service.
