The North East Area covers the following three boroughs:

##Epsom and Ewell (Epsom , Ewell and part of both Stoneleigh and Worcester Park)
##Spelthorne (Ashford, Laleham, Shepperton, Staines-upon-Thames and Sunbury-on-Thames)
About the Role
The recent events in Rotherham, Rochdale and Oxfordshire have highlighted the prevalence and threat posed by Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). Furthermore, a range of reports from Inspectors in Ofsted, HMIC and DfE have brought to the attention of professionals the weaknesses in the responses across the country to this threat. As a consequence Surrey are proposing to create two new CSE specialist posts in each of Surreys fours area offices for suitably skilled officers to champion the work in tackling CSE and develop practice across all teams.
In view of the specialist aspect of the role, your caseload will primarily be children at risk of CSE. The role holder is largely autonomous and works with access to guidance from peer networks and more experienced staff.
This role will involve liaising with a range of external and internal partner agencies, including more senior levels. You will take on responsibility for supervision of non-professionally qualified staff, particularly the Senior Family Support Worker (CSE) following appropriate training on staff supervision and assessment of competence, and mentor newly qualified social workers.
