3x 37 hours per week at Police HQ, Portishead (Ref:1925/AA)

Scale 2 £14,698-£15,195 per annum

An opportunity has arisen in our Facilities team for the position of handyperson/driver. Reporting to the Facilities and Corporate Support Officer, the main purpose of this role is to provide maintenance work on premises, grounds, vehicles, equipment and the delivery or collection of goods/services, as required. Working in a busy environment, you will have previous experience in a similar role, using your practical maintenance skills and the ability to act on your own initiative with minimum supervision. You will be required to drive police vehicles and have a full current driving licence. Whilst you will primarily be based at Police Headquarters, Portishead you will be required to work from other locations in the geographical area as and when required. The work that is currently undertaken by this role is predominately on behalf of Avon and Somerset Constabulary. From 30th June 2017 this post will transfer to Avon and Somerset Constabulary however you if successful you will remain on your appointed terms and conditions.
