The main purpose of this role is to play an active role in the customer journey, ensuring the artwork supplied is meets the customer requirements and is accurately specified for the Digital Print Operators. Where required designing artwork for customer bespoke requirements. To also be innovative within the operational processes, developing and maintaining best in class processes and procedures in relation to the production of artwork.
Accountabilities and responsibilities included but aren't limited too:
- Through production pre- planning stages, ensuring prompt communication flow, so that the client, Client Services and Production teams have all necessary information.
- Proofing pre-press artwork that are supplied from Clients against size instructions and colour matching and identifying the optimum print process.
- Customer sketches and or images/logos to be checked and matched to print requirements.
- On PDF approval for client, locate the artwork produced and checked, produce GMG for colour and content, ensure rechecked, by signing.
- Production of files using RIP software to be used by Digital Pint presses.
Qualifications & Skills required:.
- HND or equivalent through to Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or similar specialism
- Good understanding of digital pre-press processes and project phases
- Experience preferred in file handling, checking, preparing and imposing pre-designed files for print.
- An understanding of colour theory, basic design principles and a good working knowledge of design software.
- Computer literate (competent with either or both Mac and PC). You should have a basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc).
- Experience working in an environment with designers and creatives
- Proactive individual with a can-do attitude who can deal with varying demands and personalities
- Passionate about providing excellent customer care.
- Able to multitask and react to changes with positive results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Be able to handle pressure to meet delivery deadlines.
