A great opportunity for a driven professional to join Datakom, a robust and fast growing telecoms company as a New Business - Field Sales Account Manager.

Datakom are looking for an experienced business to business, field-based sales professional to join our team based in Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan.

As a Field Sales Account Manager you will be responsible for business growth and development in your assigned geographic region. You will be tasked with developing new business and establishing successful long-term relationships with an existing portfolio of clients. As the main point of contact between clients and internal teams you will tasked with ensuring the successful delivery and implementation of our business solutions in-line with the customer’s specific needs.

As a Field Sales Account Manager your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Achieve and surpass sales targets and KPI’s
  • Operate as a key point of contact for all matters specific to your customers
  • Build and maintain strong, long lasting relationships
  • Deliver client-focused solutions based on the customer needs within the telecommunications industry
  • Work alongside the Sales & Marketing teams to identify business growth opportunities within your territory
  • Be able to effectively manage your time
  • Have excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new products or offers to provide the best solutions for your customers
  • Work well within a team, as well as independently
  • Happy to contribute and offer ideas, make suggestions to benefit business growth
  • Canvassing other businesses to introduce our Company
  • Arrange appointments with potential clients
  • Visit existing clients and generate referrals whilst retaining the business

An ideal Field Sales Account Manager will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Have a proven track record of sales / business development
  • As this is a field-based role, you must be able meet face to face with customers, attend networking events, travel to trade shows and events
  • You will need to be able to confidently and effectively deliver product demonstrations
  • Feel conformable canvassing businesses & cold calling for appointment generation
  • You will have a proven track record as a successful field-based account manager or can demonstrate other effective sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Must hold a full, clean UK driving license
  • Be target driven; demonstrating highly commercial acumen

Experience in the telecoms industry is desirable but not a pre-requisite, however experience in field based sales is essential. For the right candidate training will be provided.

In return for this you will receive a salary of uncapped, base £18,000 to £25,000, depending on experience, 28 days holiday, including bank holidays. OTE £45k+ plus bonus.
