The Project Manager role within our Change Delivery team is to manage projects with some degree of complexity until they are completed, working with a number of business areas across the Group. You will be managing and driving progress in a small number of projects being responsible mainly for the seamless delivery of the business and IT project elements within the agreed budget, scope and timeline. In order to succeed in this role you will need to have had experience of project management and knowledge of project management methodology and have strong relationship management and communications skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Managing at any one time one large, more complex project or a small number of projects with limited complexity, ensuring timely delivery of outputs. This includes the planning, governance and reporting for each
* Utilisation of project management methodology in order to ensure all project outputs are delivered as agreed
* Leading, functionally managing and motivating a team to deliver the required results (possibly up to 12 people)
* Initiating, building and maintaining strong working relationships
* Delivering allocated projects in accordance with agreed Bank policy and guidelines
* Anticipating and resolving problems pertinent to the delivery of business and IT project aspects

The ideal candidate will be required to have:

* In-depth knowledge of project lifecycle, project management tools and best practice techniques
* Strong relationship building and management skills having developed long-term working relationships with colleagues at all levels within a matrix organisation
* Previously managed at the same time a small number of different projects or programmes to successful delivery
* Outstanding planning and organisation skills being able to organise actions and hit milestones as a result of managing effectively plans, risks/issues and competing priorities
* Facilitated meetings and led negotiations and discussions to positive conclusion having strong oral and written communication and influencing skills

Attainment of either a relevant qualification such as the PMP qualification, or equivalent experience would be highly desirable but not essential.

Candidates will have to demonstrate flexibility in terms of working hours and travel to other locations.
