Web Designer

This is an opportunity to join a small web design agency based in Dorking, Surrey with a proprietary platform targeted towards the automotive industry. They build industry leading websites and are entering a stage of expansion and growth.

They are currently looking for a web designer with strong design skills to join their vibrant and varied design and development team in an expanding digital media agency based in Dorking, Surrey. They specialise in web development and digital marketing within the automotive industry and their clients include local, national and even global industry leaders as they help to develop a variety of online and marketing solutions for them.

They are growing, both in number of clients as well as the number of services and products they offer. Due to this, they need to expand their team across all departments and they are now looking for a design-focused web designer to create a variety of high quality, modern web designs.

Typical duties include:

- Extracting a brief for a project from internal resources as well as liaising with external clients
- Wireframing design concepts based within the parameters of their platform
- Creating high quality mock ups and PSD's that can be used to mark up from
- Building web sites from your own or others designs
- Providing support and development for existing web sites
- Aiding in the reiteration of a constantly developing proprietary platform
- Working with other departments such as marketing and SEO to help provide solutions and assets for their needs
- Helping to support minor site and platform specific technical issues to clients
- Investigate and prototype new and developing technologies and working practices

This position is a very design heavy role and you must be able to prove your design ability through examples or a portfolio. As a minimum, you must be able to competently build responsive web sites in HTML and CSS, however due to the nature of a digital agency, additional skills or an understanding of other aspects of our business would be of an advantage. These include:

- Javascript/jQuery
- PHP
- Print media design
- Experience in designing and developing for a platform such as Wordpress, Joomla, Concrete5, etc
- Google Analytics
- SEO/SEM/PPC
- Video production
- Social media marketing
