Supply Chain Co-Ordinator
Wrexham

Our client is an engineering, design and manufacturing company. To complete their team, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to join the machine shop based on Wrexham Industrial Estate.

Our client has been established in 1993, supplying expertise and equipment to the beverage can industry worldwide. The fully automated high speed machines for printing beverage cans at speeds above 2000 per minute are designed, manufactured, build and tested in Wrexham and exported all over the world.

Job Specification:

  • Process purchase orders suggested in MRP from Access Supply Chain and required by dates are in line with the production requirements of the company.
  • Obtain acknowledgement dates and expedite parts due on outstanding purchase orders.
  • Liase with Engineering on Part Drawing Issues.
  • Analyse prices and enter part references, prices and supplier information into Access Supply Chain.
  • Process adhoc purchases orders requested for raw materials, consumables and non-parts
  • Raise internal manufacturing job packs and pass to manufacturing
  • Plan and structure internal manufacturing workload by company requirements and machine/machinist capacity
  • Record internal manufacturing processes, times and costings.
  • Define and document Purchasing & Manufacturing Processes SOP's
  • Carry out 5S audits throughout the factory and promote its principles.
  • Provide cover in stores and dispatch during times of annual leave.

Person Criteria:

  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Natural organisation and planning skills.
  • A hard working and self-motivated work ethic.
  • The enthusiasm to progress and develop their skills.
