Our client is a vibrant Headingly based marketing agency. They are a fun, lively team of 20 with an active social calendar and have identified a rare opportunity for an experienced Head of Content to join their dynamic team at a time of tremendous growth for them and their digital content platform.

All plans and the long term vision will be shared with you along with those of the wider group to ensure your goals are achievable and supported effectively!

Position Summary
Reporting into the Managing Director, who will be there to support you in the development of your role and the platform, as Head of Content you will ensure to;
• Be responsible for leading the strategy and direction of the content team ensuring the content is best of breed
• Make clients (managers of student accommodation) happy, by providing a straightforward, innovative, 'that's not a problem' service, that helps them communicate, engage with and learn about their student residents and customers
• Make student visitors happy, with awesome, engaging, entertaining and relevant content
• You will work with external web development teams to help develop new features for the platform to improve the service for customers and ensure they are always ahead of the curve with the way they deliver content to and interact with their users
• You will lead the content team (currently 6) to ensure clients content briefs are delivered on time and on brief, this will include attending client meetings with our customers who are based all over the UK

Who are we looking for?
you will need to demonstrate your ability to effectively report on how content has been engaged with and be able to suggest how these metrics can be used to improve future work.
Additionally;
● You should have experience within a client facing role, and be comfortable presenting and discussing content and delivery strategies with senior stakeholders and clients at director level
● Reporting plays a huge part of this role, so as Head of Content you must have experience of measuring the effectiveness and reach of content and its digital delivery and you will need to demonstrate your ability to effectively report on how content has been engaged with and be able to suggest how these metrics can be used to improve future work.
● You should love social media and be able to demonstrate your knowledge of how content can be delivered across a variety of platforms
● You should know how to collect data from websites, digital platforms and social media in addition to knowing how to analyse and interpret that data to develop more impactful content and content delivery strategies
● You should know how important data is, and be familiar with (and able to demonstrate) your knowledge of a variety of tools and software (including Google Analytics) to measure content effectiveness
● You should be able to manage and develop connections with a network of bloggers and build relationships with up and coming talent on social media
● You'll be an outgoing individual who relishes responsibility and a lot of autonomy, you will have experience of and enjoy leading a group and help them achieve their best within your team
● Our business has been built on big characters and great personalities so ideally you should have bags of confidence and strong relationship building skills
● You should have a strong understanding of digital marketing, content marketing and the social media landscape
