The Team:
The Authentication and Identity Management Team within the Enterprise Security Solutions (ESS) group is part of the Morgan Stanley Cybersecurity team. We are responsible for engineering and developing solutions that manage the lifecycle of enterprise digital identities and the global tools used to authenticate and authorize the use of these identities.

The Identity Management and Directory Services team is responsible for the lifecycle management of worker accounts, password reset tools and the corporate directory infrastructure at Morgan Stanley. We are currently embarking on 2 multi-year global enterprise-wide transformational programs: renovation of our identity management platform that will consolidate our identity management lifecycle and password management onto a new vendor platform and the renovation of our directory infrastructure where we will look to evaluate, choose, implement and migrate to a new vendor product. The team of 20 is located in New York, London and Budapest.

The Role:
You will act as a subject matter expert for the Identity Management Engineering team Cryptographic Services Engineering space and more specifically; be responsible for proto-typing, designing and delivering robust, scalable, cross-platform solutions that span teams, namely; Enterprise and Web Authentication, Identity Management, LDAP and Identity Data. You will be expected to collaborate with managers and lead engineers of the Authentication and Identity Management (AIM) team, broader partners in Security, CTO and Infrastructure as well as clients in order to understand technical and business requirements that will drive solutions. You will be responsible driving the strategic architecture across the IDM teams that take client and technical requirements into account as well as being informed by industry trends and best practices. You will play a critical role which will help to ensure a coordinated approach to rolling out our new identity management platform and the next generation directory services architecture. You will also work with all parts of the Authentication and Identity Management team as well as other departments in the Technology division to define and evaluate policies, standards and solutions for enterprise and business use. Key deliverables will include owning and publishing the target state architecture, defining the architecture for upcoming product releases and validating to ensure production releases comply with the intended design.

Candidates must be experienced with designing, implementing and optimizing solutions using the following technologies and concepts: Identity Management (automated provisioning, de-provisioning, certification, etc.). Account and Password Management. Identity as a Service. Directories (Active Directory, LDAP (Oracle, UnboundID, OpenLDAP, etc). Virtual Directory Server. Relevant experience related to designing, implementing or supporting IdM solutions. Knowledge of formal architecture documentation processes such as UML, MDA, Zachman, TOGAF. Web Access Management (SiteMinder, Ping, etc.). Single Sign-on and Federation (Kerberos, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, ADFS, , OpenID Connect, etc.). Privileged Access Management. Effective at presenting information to different audiences at the correct level of detail (i.e., from engineering teams to executive management).
