We are excited to announce that we are looking to recruit a talented and dynamic Deputy Headteacher to start in September 2017.

The Deputy Head position is full time starting September 2017. Remuneration is within the Leadership scale, L4-L8. There is no formal classroom responsibility with this post beyond PPA cover.

We are a Church of England Primary Academy with two-form entry in Years R-4 and Year 5 from September 2017. We are oversubscribed with two children applying for every place. Our most recent Ofsted (July 15) rated us Outstanding in all areas. St. John's serves the owner occupied Grove Green estate, between Bearsted and Maidstone. Our school opened in September 1987. It is well resourced with extensive grounds. There is an active PTA and a very supportive governing body. We are staffed with very caring, positive, enthusiastic, hardworking teachers, TAs, office staff and caretaking team.
