The successful candidate will:

Take responsibility for the end-to-end strategic development of your list to ensure journal and divisional targets are achieved.
Work closely with the Publisher, managing the operational processes, and collating and interpreting data spanning across the whole portfolio to inform strategy.
Manage the financials of your list to ensure individual titles, and the portfolio as a whole hit targets.
Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to retain contracts.
Develop your list of journals to maximise long and short term profitability of the journal list.
Attend editorial and society meetings and conferences, and present reports on behalf of OUP.
Coordinate and engage the internal teams to ensure a high level of service is provided to societies and editors.
Support the publishing team in setting publishing strategy for the list to ensure contracts are maintained and profits are maximized.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make their next career move in journal publishing. You will work in a dynamic environment and make a substantial contribution to the development of OUP's high quality journal programme.

About you

The successful candidate will be hard-working with a positive, can-do attitude, and a creative flair. You will enjoy coming up with new ideas to achieve strategic objectives for your list.

Be educated to degree level or equivalent.
Have an understanding of the issues surrounding STM journals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and with external stakeholders.
