Are you an enthusiastic Staff Nurse looking to develop your nursing career in London? Or a student nurse in training, thinking about your options when qualified?

At Homerton, we take pride in the quality of our nursing, and we offer fantastic personal development across a range of nursing specialisms. And we are always on the lookout for excellent, patient-centred, enthusiastic nurses to join us!

We are therefore holding a Recruitment Day on Saturday 1st April 2017 for Band 5 Staff Nurses.

We can offer permanent and fixed term positions within our specialist Medical and Surgical Wards. We also have vacancies in our Acute Care Unit and in A&E, which was recently rated the first "Outstanding" Emergency Department in England by the CQC.

Vacancies are also available within our Adult Community Nursing Team. Our community service is an earlier adapter of many national clinical initiatives and we are currently reviewing and implementing new technology to improve our communication and documentation with our colleagues and more importantly with our patients.

We are also offering the a 2 year rotational program covering Acute Medical Ward (8 months), Elderly Care Unit (8 months) and Community Nursing (8 months). On successfully completing this program you will have the opportunity to be promoted to Senior Staff Nurse (band 6)

Homerton is a fantastic place to develop your nursing career. We employ around 1200 nurses at Homerton, and we take on many more nursing students each year. We are proud of the fact that many of our more senior nurses have developed their careers within the Trust.

The Trust provides services to a broad multicultural community throughout Hackney and the City. We have excellent training, development and support mechanisms in place to enable our staff to meet the high standards of healthcare that the residents of Hackney and the City expect and deserve.

Our recent CQC inspections in both the Acute and Community services highlighted highest standards of best practice and commitment to the residents of Hackney.

Our Commitment and regard for our patients are reflected in our Trust Values.

You should be a registered nurse or a student nurse on your final placement, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work using your own initiative as well as working effectively within a team. You must understand the importance of patient care and have the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate a care plan, recognising the specific needs of patients and relatives

The open day will consist of a drugs and accountability assessment followed by an interview. In return you will be given insight into nursing within the Trust, and have the opportunity to meet the senior clinical teams to ask any questions about our services.

Please complete an online application to register for this Recruitment event, please submit your application form by midday on Thursday 30th March 2017.
