We currently have an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the Science faculty within a world-class, award-winning Science Centre, at one of the leading independent schools in the UK. The new state-of-the-art Science centre was opened in 2014 and has 15 spacious laboratories.
As a Science Laboratory Assistant, you will support the smooth running of the Chemistry, Biology and Physics departments, ensuring equipment and materials are maintained, cleaned and stocked, and laboratories are set up appropriately, as well as cleared away before and after lessons.
You will be joining a team that has the highest ambitions for Science education and the vision to create a national profile for Uppingham Science, so it's an exciting time to join and be part of this.
Previous experience in a science environment is an advantage, but not an essential requirement. However, your ability to work with minimum supervision, a positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to deal with students and staff in a polite and helpful manner is crucial.
In return, we can offer a variety of benefits, including pension plan, access to the School's sports centre and private health care.
