Targets & objectives
Reporting to the Technical Facilities Manager, provide a cost effective, business client focussed, FM service delivery on a day to day level at the Park Royal facility
Support the delivery of FM site services in a timely and efficient manner, within a safe and serviceable condition, compliant with all appropriate UK and EU Standards
Assist the FM manager to implement site specific regulations and permit-to-work processes & procedures in cooperation with appropriate contractors
Assist with the development and implementation of plant and building maintenance schedules & their dissemination to appointed contractors
Assist with the tendering, procurement & appointment processes for planned, preventative and reactive maintenance including HVAC, chilled water systems, LV and HV systems and generation, UPS, security, lighting & emergency lighting, fire safety & alarms, lifts, plumbing & drainage
Assist with the preparation of monthly FM reports including energy monitoring, maintenance, fault response and repair etc
Assist the FM manager in the preparation of FM SLAs (service level agreements) for internal clients
Tasks & duties
Administer statutory inspections' programme, maintain testing and record drawing updates for the M&E services and broadcast production lighting infrastructures
Support the FM Manager in the day to day operation of the complete M&E platform including HVAC, chilled water systems, power and earthing, lighting, security (both electronic and manned security), fire alarms etc.
Assist with the management of FM capex and opex budgets in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
Work closely with the Broadcast and Enterprise IT Technology teams to ensure smooth operation across all inter-related functions and platforms.
Manage the day to day accommodation and space planning activities including moves and churns, M&E services rearrangements, furniture deployment etc.
Implement corporate H&S policy, procedures and risk assessments acting to mitigate risks and deploy preventative measures
Assist with the deployment of the M&E services' infrastructure capital works program, ad hoc and the ongoing development of capital projects as the business expands
Implement a policy of continuous improvement including the creation of new and cost effective working methods & the integration of appropriate new technologies
Assist with the management and control of minor building works contractors
Supervise manned security, cleaning, waste & recycling, pest control, ground maintenance, car parking and internal plants
Administer the service equipment contracts including vending, office machines, stationery, minor canteen facilities etc.
Skills & qualifications
All round knowledge of M&E services with a strong background in at least one (M or E) discipline
Knowledge of relevant broadcast sector policies and procedures
Experience in managing technical services contractors
Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills
Keen and enthusiastic to learn new skills and to undergo development training
