Supporting, and taking forward, the development of sustainability education across the institution you will embed sustainability into the curriculum and as part of the wider student experience. This is an exciting opportunity across a wide range of education for sustainability areas and to get involved in the research and implementation projects.
You will carry out audits and reviews to support the levels of sustainability across our courses whilst continuously ensuring that the sustainability initiatives, research and project activities are progressed in accordance with relevant objectives and timescales. You will engage with staff, students and relevant teams across the institution to support them in the practical adoption, and implementation, of UCEM's initiatives.
You must be educated to at least a first-degree level within a relevant academic subject and have a proven track record of project co-ordination and meeting deadlines, as well as an understanding of current developments within professional, further or higher education. A subject matter expert with knowledge of the sustainability education field is essential with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. An understanding of the importance of the 'Student Experience' is a desirable factor along with a teaching qualification, experience of working within a similar role and academic/teaching experience.
