DWF 's fast paced and busy team is looking for a talented Senior Paralegal to join the team in Liverpool handling Credit Hire cases.
The role
To progress cases, under supervision, to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients whilst providing and maintaining management information under the terms of the client service level agreement. Individual must be an experienced Credit Hire Paralegal with an excellent understanding of Credit Hire work and demonstrable experience in a similar role, with good experience in either fast track, litigation or fraud. There is no line management of people in this role.
What you'll be doing
- Action all cases in line with practice group/client service standards and protocols
- Use of the Case Management system and / or use of standard documentation wherever appropriate to maximise cost efficiency
- Proactively manage both internal and client MI and achievement of budgeted sales revenue, aligned to personal target or team target (as applicable)
- Manage specialist caseload involving complex litigation, indemnity disputes or severe injury claims - level of authority to be decided
- Proactively settle/assist in the settlement of cases to the satisfaction of the client whilst further developing legal technical knowledge.
- Assist Line Manager/Associate with L & D needs across Liverpool Motor
- Analyse risk and develop sound judgement to justify decisions in the management of cases
- Prioritise work efficiently and effectively to ensure client service level agreements and deadlines are met
- Understand the role in the context of the practice group and proactively seek to increase contribution via the allocation of work.
- Work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload as dictated by the practice group
