Following several changes in ownership, Theo Paphitis, who was passionate about our brand acquired the business in 2012, since then he has invested in our stores, e-commerce business and opened a major new distribution centre. As part of the Theo Paphitis Retail group, which includes Ryman, Boux Avenue and the very recently acquired London Graphic centre, the business continues to go from strength to strength. We are now looking for a Store Manager for our flagship Woking Store. Reporting into the District Manager our Store Manager will ensure the effective management, exceptional customer service and sales profitability of the store through the development and motivation of Colleagues and the management of controllable costs. As Store Manager you will build and maintain a motivated team and develop Colleagues through training and coaching with the aim of achieving balanced score card objectives.

Store Manager - Responsibilities

- Fully implement new promotions accurately in accordance with promotional instructions.

- Ensure Colleagues sell positively the full range of merchandise using all available channels and promoting add on sales

- Demonstrate the highest levels of customer service and train and coach Colleagues on delivery

- React to Mystery Shopper results and complete the feedback in a timely and constructive manner.

- Motivate Colleagues with feedback, training, delegation, local incentives and effective communication, seeking advice from line manager/HR Department if unsure of the techniques.

- Support and manage change in a timely, positive and supportive manner.

- Report sales and business performance in weekly trading feedback.

- Plan ahead for scheduled events such as promotional changes, ensuring that all materials and prepared and Colleagues briefed.

- Ensure that there is sufficient shop floor coverage at all times and maintain own presence on the shop floor.

- Appraise Colleagues regularly using the relevant assessment methods, i.e. probationary and annual.

- Recruit and support colleagues through the Company training programmes and develop talent

- Succession plan for the future to build a talent pool for progression within the store / district.

Store Manager - Desired Skills

- Significant experience of managing a stand alone, retail led store

- Previous experience of having ran a store trading at GBP2 Million per annum or above

- Results Focus - achieve goals, targets and objectives in agreed deadlines.

- Customer Service Excellence - ensure the team provides excellent customer service.

- Managing Change - react quickly to change and implement it positively, handling objections and overcoming obstacles to achieve business objectives.

- Planning and Organising - effectively schedule and overcome obstacles and adjust plans as necessary.

- Leadership - guide individuals towards task accomplishment.

- Colleague Development and Performance Management - train, coach and develop Colleagues and take ownership for performance issues and manage conflict effectively. Take responsibility for recruitment and selection.

You may have gained your experience within previous roles as a Concession Manager, Cluster Manager, Store Manager, General Manager, Area or Regional Manager.
