Our main customers are major research organisations around the globe. Our product range has expanded to over 250,000 products that are sold through our online portal. Job Purpose:

The position would suit an individual looking to expand their coding and development knowledge by taking on a wide variety of development tasks – liaising with internal staff members as well as an outsourced development team to develop new systems, as well as increasing the efficiency of existing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Look at existing IT infrastructure (including an e-commerce platform and CRM system) for ways to improve these systems
• Plan and develop new IT systems relevant to the business’ interests
• Code and develop both individually and with the help of the outsourced IT team

Person-Profile Requirements:

Desirable Skills:
• Knowledge of a broad range of coding languages and frameworks (not all of these are necessary, but some experience would be beneficial):
- SQL
- Java
- JavaScript
- PHP
- Python
- C++/C#
- HTML/CSS
• Knowledge of Magento and SugarCRM would be preferred, although other e-commerce and CRM systems is also acceptable
• The ability to drill down into the components of a system in order to find out how they work (as well as self-teaching to enhance understanding)
• Project management
• Good communication skills – both in person and in email/IM software

Work Experience & Knowledge:

• Experience of working in an office environment with a small team
• Experience of working with an outsourced development team
