LOCATION: Chichester, West Sussex
JOB TITLE: Bar Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary plus free on site accommodation
WORKING HOURS: Full Time
THE COMPANY: Our client is a holiday village based close to the sea in Chichester. The holiday village is based on 90 acres of land containing over 300 bungalows, a pub/restaurant, outdoor heated pool and many other facilities catering to families. Our client now has an excellent opportunity for a Bar Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
THE ROLE: As a Bar Manager you will be working with our client in Chichester, managing the whole retail operation of the on site pub/restaurant, including serving customers and providing excellent customer service, as well as motivating and managing a team of staff. You will be responsible for ordering stock and organising rotas, the commercial success of the bar, and providing a 1st class customer experience for all.
Key Responsibilities for the Bar Manager's role in Chichester, West Sussex :
- Serve customers and provide advice on product range and drinks
- Manage, motivate and lead a team of staff
- Manage and adhere to set budgets and general cash handling/banking
- Order stock and minimise waste
- Provide excellent customer service
- Oversee and manage the whole retail operation including all security aspects of the bar/restaurant
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Bar Managers position must hold a Publican Private Licence and have proven previous experience within a similar position. You should have experience in delivering excellent customer service experience and must be someone who is confident and can engage well with people. Suitable candidates will ideally be educated to secondary school level, have excellent communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Bar Managers role in Chichester, West Sussex :-
- Must have valid Publican Private Licence
- Minimum of 1 year's previous experience in a similar providing customer service role is essential
- Must be educated to secondary school level or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Must have a friendly, positive attitude
