LOCATION: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
JOB TITLE: Purchase Ledger & Finance Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: Circa 20/25K DOE + pension & Bonus (up to GBP2,000)
WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hrs per week, Full time, permanent

THE ROLE: Purchase Ledger & Finance Assistant, Rotherham, South Yorkshire
My client is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger & Finance Assistant to join their finance team based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Catcliffe, Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger:
• Issuing purchase orders
• Purchase invoice entry to the SAP system
• Bi-weekly purchase ledger payment runs
Finance:
• Journal entry via the SAP system
• Revenue reconciliation
• Month end review and processing
• Quarterly VAT return
• General assistance to purchasing & finance team.
• General Admin duties as required.
Aptitudes and Experience- Purchase Ledger & Finance Assistant, Rotherham, South Yorkshire
• Previous experience in an accounting environment and able to work as part of a small focused team
• Knowledge of accounting preferred, accountancy qualification desirable but not essential
• Competent in the use of MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel).
• English & Maths G.S.C.E. or relevant (A-level standard of education desirable)
• An enthusiastic and motivated individual with good communication skills, ability to prioritise, show initiative and have attention to detail.
• SAP experience preferable but not essential
