The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and talented Bingo Caller at our Apollo Bingo Club in Durham. You will need to be friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service and standards as well as confident when presenting in front of an audience.

This is a permanent part-time position, working a minimum of 16 hours per week, although there may be scope for additional hours in due course. The initial rate of pay is £7.20 per hour rising to £7.50 per hour from 1st April 2017.

Hours of operation are from 11am to 10pm 7 days per week and work patterns will include a variety of afternoon, evening and weekend shifts.

Duties include:

• Your primary role will be calling Bingo - This involves standing on stage and calling numbers
• You may also be required to undertake any other duties to support the smooth running of the Club, including:
  • Meeting and greeting Customers
  • Providing help and assistance to customers
  • Selling Bingo Books/packages
  • Giving change
  • Serving/preparing food and beverages
  • Providing customer service on the bingo hall floor
  • Ensuring all fruit machines are kept clean and presentable

Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Do you have?

• Strong communication skills
• Confident when standing in front of an audience
• Customer service experience (ideally in bingo or in the hospitality/ entertainment industry)
• Cash handling experience
• A bright, outgoing and friendly personality
• A good work ethos:

  • And have a smart appearance
