Teaching Support SEND 11-14K Horsham

When working in a SEND setting you will always have job satisfaction and have many exciting challenges.

The school caters for a range of children with complex learning needs including social, emotional and mental health. Students may be on the Autistic spectrum, have ADHD or have a physical disability; whatever the student may have they are always treated as an individual. This allows the schools curriculum to be fluid and tailored to the students in or outside of the classroom. The school is well established and located in the vibrant city of Crawley. The team is highly skilled and dedicated to making a difference to the lives of their students. The school is commiteed to supporting the students and their families. The school will also provide learners with every opportunity to achieve qualifications.

In this role as a Teaching support assistant you will be:-
> Dedicated to helping students progress to their full potential
> Working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
> Working as a team to support the needs of the students and the school.
> Supporting learning in literacy and numeracy.
> Using your skills, interests and personality to engage and work with learners.

The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:-
> Experience of working with young people.
> Be able to work with learners that have a range of personalities.
> Have an understanding of the learning difficulties and associated conditions.
> Be confident to support groups of students in an alternative educational provision.
> The ability to work as an individual and under pressure.
> Competent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
> It is essential you have experience of working with children.
