Our company are supporting their global, tier-one, iconic client in hiring a Senior Data Analytics & Insight Consultant. The role will be based in central Manchester paying c£45,000 basic plus annual bonus, pension scheme, core and flexible benefits.
You will be based in a best-in-class advanced data analytics department; receiving mentorship, training and development continuously whilst being exposed to a wide variety of engagements and projects with varying stakeholders. No two projects will ever tend to look the same; for example, over a period at any given time you may be working on visualisation projects, advanced modelling engagements and financial crime analytics assignments simultaneously. Therefore, a thirst for variety and a skill in adaptability is absolute key. You should already carry a relatively broad technical skillset and have a desire to build on this in a consultative capacity.
Essential Skills - Technical
It is important that you are able to demonstrate SME in a number of below technical areas:-
* Data analytics and visualisation products such as Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview
* Advanced data analytics, using platforms such as SAS, SPSS, R/S/S+
* Strong SQL and data manipulation skills
* Data quality and data cleansing techniques
* Experience of the UK Financial Services industry
* Advanced MS Excel
Essential Skills - Commercial
In addition to the above technical skillset, it is even more important that they have been utilised in the below commercial environments / responsibilities:-
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of performing on project teams and providing deliverables
* Project management skills in relation to data management projects, including developing project plans, budgets and deliverables schedules
* Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
* Ability to develop new ideas into structured, deliverable projects
* Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
* Excellent presentation and report writing skills
* Ability to manage tasks or projects, meet deadlines, overcome challenges and manage stakeholder expectations
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or above in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent
