Job Role:
Our Client is the UK's largest horizontal CNC machining centre manufacturer and is a dynamic, modern Company situated in an easily accessible area on the outskirts of Redditch town centre.
They are currently looking to recruit an experienced, Engineering Buyer/Material Scheduler on a full time basis to continue the Company's development of its UK Supplier Base and to enhance the existing Pan-European companies.
The Successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate a track record of delivering cost reduction, beyond simple component price, whilst still maintaining quality standards and on-time deliveries.
Roles and Responsibilities to include:
- Ensuring on-time deliveries
- Initiate cost saving projects
- Placing purchase orders with European-based suppliers in line with MRP requirements
- Develop and benchmark UK based suppliers to international standards
- Work with internal quality team to develop and continuously monitor quality standards
Applicants for the post must have/be:-
- Experience in a multi-site manufacturing operation
- Experience in a buying role
- A track record of supplier development and negotiated success
- Good communication
Applicants for the post should be:-
- Computer literate in Microsoft/SAP (Training will be given)
- Able to work to strict deadlines
- Able to deliver high standards
- Knowledge of Technical German would be an advantage
- Self-motivated
