Location: Covering the UK - This is predominantly a site based role

Our client is an established, Bolton based, industrial door company. Employing over 120 employees and with sites in the Midlands and Scotland, they install, service, repair and maintain all types of industrial doors, dock levellers, high speed doors, automatic doors, gates, barriers and turnstiles
Job Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an On-Site Operations Manager.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will oversee site operations to ensure that engineers are working safely and efficiently and are meeting the expectations and needs of the organisation and its customers. They will be responsible for monitoring, mentoring and motivating engineering teams to achieve organisational goals and key performance indicators, and will carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure site safety and employee compliance with company policies and procedures. They will be responsible for inducting new site based engineers, identifying skills gaps and carrying out tool box talks for both new and existing engineers.
This is predominantly a site based role and it is expected that 80% of working time will be spent on site.
The Candidate:
The company are ideally looking for someone from an electro/mechanical background with experience in a similar role. Experience within the industrial door industry would be advantageous although not essential. The successful candidate must have strong management and leadership qualities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A full driving licence is essential as is a willingness to travel with the occasional overnight stop out.
The company have engineers in Bolton, Stoke, Rugby, London, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow and have an office in Birmingham as well as the head office in Bolton so the ideal candidate would be based around these locations.
