Are you a fully qualified Physics teacher who loves to see your students excel in this area, and become well prepared for the next stages in their educational journey? If so then a Science teaching role in this forward thinking and inclusional school is for you!

Randstad Education is a market leader in the Education recruitment sector. Here at the Chelmsford branch we help teaching and support staff find temporary and permanent roles all over Essex. Currently, we are working closely with a large secondary academy in the Chelmsford area, and they are looking to strengthen their Science faculty by appointing a strong Physics teacher, who can help reinforce the school's core values and educational principals.

The position is full time and permanent from September 2017. The school require candidates who can teach across the Sciences at Key Stage 3, then move more into Physics as a specialism at GCSE and A Level. Teachers at the school are well supported by subject leaders and the senior leadership team, and this leadership has brought about rapid improvements in the quality of teaching in the school

The successful candidate will need to display:

*Thorough subject knowledge of Physics at GCSE and A Level, with the ability to teach general Science at KS3
*Good behaviour management. Behaviour at the school is good but keeping pupils consistently on track is a must
*Delivery of consistently good and outstanding lessons to ensure more-able students are suitably challenged and areas for improvement are regularly identified
*Good communication skills between peers, colleagues, SLT members and others around the school
*A sense of humour and the ability to remain calm under pressure

In its last Ofsted report, the school was graded as good, which was an improvement on the previous inspection when the school was graded as requires improvement. The school governors appointed a new headteacher to bring about a significant increase in standards. This means subject leaders are driving forward the need for good teaching, and have a strong understanding of the data and quality of pupils' work in their subjects.

The school is looking to appoint teachers who have excellent communication skills and can communicate effectively with colleagues, peers, pupils and parents. The school can offer a thorough support network which includes external support from a range of education professionals, access to alternative provisions and alternative curriculum, and strong links with the Saffron Walden Teaching Alliance.

If you think this sounds like the position for you, and you would like to work at a school with a strong family and community focus, then please get in touch with us here at Randstad Education Chelmsford.
