Gas Installation Engineer - Spider. The regions fixed fee web recruitment company are currently supporting one of the UK's leading specialists in heating repairs, maintenance and installations in their search for a Gas Installation Engineer to be based in Dunstable. The key focus of this role is to be responsible for the completion of all allocated works in conjunction with and adhering to all company procedures, legislation and manufacturer's instructions. The successful candidate will continuously display a professional attitude which encourages and maintains good relationships with both Tenants and Clients.
Reporting to the Supervisor, other key duties will include:
- Complete all tasks allocated, consistently producing high level quality of work, meeting company standards.
- Ensure a high level of Customer Care
- Take appropriate responsibility for compliance with all Company Procedures and Legislation relating to Health & Safety
- Ensure that appropriate measures are in place to protect company, resident and client property at all times while completing allocated tasks.
- Comply with Company stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure that relevant parts / stocks / PPE are available when required to fulfil job requirements
- Communicate updates on progress of work to the appropriate person (s) as per Company Procedures.
- Attend Tool Box Talks, Training, Meetings' etc. as instructed by Line Managers / Management.
- Work as part of a team to cover out of hours call outs on an Adhoc basis as agreed with Line Management Team
- Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Records, are adhered to during the course of work.
- Complete the required paperwork (Electronically or manually) for each task as per Company Procedures, complying with Legislation where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all company standards, policies and procedures.
Skills and attributes required:
- Experience within a similar role essential
- Gas safe qualifications essential
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise
- Excellent time management skills
- Team player
