Residence Manager based in Oswestry, Shropshire offering a salary of between £25,916 and £29,999

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Residence Manager to join our Residential Services Team. This role will be responsible for the quality assurance and on-going improvement of a residence including the management of staff, resources and student progress

The key role responsibilities of the Residence Manager are:

  • Line manage a team of Care & Independence Support Workers
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and implement all policies and procedures
  • Provide evidence of CQC compliance and ensure any action plans are actioned effectively
  • Plan, develop and deliver care plans
  • Ensure all aspects of the Independence, Health & Wellbeing program are delivered to agreed standards
  • Deliver personal care and independence skills
  • Ensure that student progress is captured and recorded in the care records
  • Take an active role in student reviews and multi disciplinary team meetings
  • Pastoral support and liaison with families, social workers and counsellors
  • Safeguarding awareness and promotion in all aspects of the job to promote the welfare of vulnerable young adults

Person Specification:

  • Health & Social Care Level 3 is essential
  • Health & Social Care Level 4 or 5 is desirable
  • Knowledge of the CQC framework
  • Significant management experience is essential
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Willingness to undertake extensive continuing professional development
  • Proven success of working within a similar role
  • A caring, compassionate and empathic nature
  • Outstanding communication skills
