Quantity Surveyor
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join Dover Port.

The Dover Western Docks Revival Project, the single biggest investment undertaken by the Port, will create a purpose-built cargo and logistics facility at the Port, which currently handles up to £119 billion of UK trade each year.
As a Quantity Surveyor your duties and responsibilities will be:
- To provide quantity surveying duties and astute commercial management of multiple small value projects through conception, procurement and delivery.
- The post holder will be responsible for administering multiple maintenance, civils and new build contracts primarily under the NEC Form of Contract in conjunction with the Project Managers and delivery teams.
- Working as part of a small team focused on providing a robust approach to cost, risk and procurement for all construction and maintenance projects throughout the Port of Dover.
- The person in this role will provide commercial advice and support to enable the successful delivery of construction contracts. This will include ensuring the right procurement routes are determined at the outset and that commercial contractual rights and obligations are discharged in line with agreed risk strategies.
An ideal Quantity Surveyor will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Educated to HNC level
- Significant background in quantity surveying
- Good working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
- Experience of a range of civil engineering, building and M&E projects
- Ideally, experienced in managing projects in a civils / infrastructure environment
