Our sister company is one of the largest independent video games retailers in the UK. Their needs span the whole spectrum of support, ranging from front end website development all the way through to creation and maintenance of backend architecture. Their growth to date has been phenomenal and they have a long term plan for future developments of e-commerce and system integration which High Tech Click will be responsible for delivering.
Who we're looking for...
We're looking for the passionate programmers, the daring developers that will push our limits and contribute to the growth of the business and themselves. While qualifications are important, we're not the type to shy away from people who have the right attitude and practical experience.
You will be skilled in the following:
- OO PHP
- MySQL
- JavaScript, jQuery, Legacy Browser Compatibility
- CSS3, Media Queries, Responsive / fluid layouts, Legacy Browser Compatibility
- HTML 5, Semantic Markup
Desirable skills:
- Java
- Zend Framework & Doctrine (Our main Framework)
- Linux or Unix, Command Line Understanding
- Version Control – SVN
- Unit testing / Behavioural testing
- General understanding of Bootstrap
The team are great at communicating and collaborating ideas to create something extra special for our clients and we encourage all our staff to be involved in design, planning, development, testing and implementation of our projects.
Key attributes for the successful candidate would be a strong aptitude for learning and exploring possibilities, a great communicator across all levels and a strong IT background that we can rely on to just jump in and take on the challenge.
The immediate team is 4 strong, with a broader reach of 65 people in a young, vibrant company. Everyone is hands on, willing to help others and want to work together to reach our goals.
Experience
PHP Developer – Minimum of 1 year of commercial experience
Our Location
We operate from a head office in Renishaw, Sheffield and later this year we will relocate to a new 4 acre with purpose built offices and distribution centre.
