Job Description:

Our Client is the UK's leading waste-to-energy biodiesel producer with operations in Scotland and North West England and has always been privately owned. Their main plant, near Motherwell in Scotland, started production in 2005. Following significant investment to facilitate growth and development, a number of facilities are being built in the Stanlow area. The Company specialises in the production and supply of high grade, sustainable diesel made from waste fats and oils deliberately excluding any raw materials that could also be used for food or feed.

They are currently looking to recruit for a HR Administrator to support the HR team by providing an effective administration service to the department.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • To administer the on-boarding of employees including preparing contracts and offer letters, sending for references, scanning and filing documents to employee files, coordinating information for payroll and updating headcount reports
  • To ensure employee files (both electronic and paper) are kept up to date
  • To maintain and update Company organisational charts
  • To maintain manual and computerised employee records
  • To support the recruitment process by setting up job files, making initial contact with Agencies, placing adverts on the Company website and filing applications as appropriate
  • To assist the on-site HR Assistants with interview arrangements, booking meeting rooms or alternative venues
  • To administer the probation process ensuring Managers know when review meetings need to take place and documenting the applicable outcomes, sending letters as appropriate.
  • To create a suite of Management reports from the HR System
  • To ensure the HR System is kept up to date and reflects all employee changes, including starters, leavers, address changes, salary information, shift patterns, absence etc.
  • To manage the HR email inbox, forwarding or actioning emails as appropriate
  • To carry out general administration tasks for the HR Department, including sorting post, answering telephone queries, responding to reference requests, filing, raising purchase requisitions, ordering stationery and administering expenses.

Qualifications/ Knowledge & Experience

Qualifications

  • Working towards a recognised CPP/CIPD qualification would be beneficial

Specific Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrable previous experience as an HR Administrator in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Previous recruitment administration knowledge and experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent IT and administrative skills being PC literate with strong Excel and Word skills
  • Hands-on experience with an in-house HR System
  • Organisational skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • This is a small office based in Solihull. It is therefore essential that you are a self-starter, able to use your own initiative and being comfortable being on your own on occasions.
