Our approach is rooted in a clearly articulated, award-winning learning philosophy, which helps thousands of people to unlock their potential every year. This philosophy has driven new applied-learning approaches and resulted in a three-year rising trend of student success, which now means that our students are among the most successful in the country.

Activate Learning Group aims to be inspirational and innovative, to foster personal development through learning and to be of value and economic significance to our communities. As part of this, we would like to recruit a Lead Study Coach for our City of Oxford College Campus.

The Lead Study Coach will lead, develop and supervise a team of study coaches and learning assistants to ensure excellent quality of support. The role contributes to creating an inclusive learning environment by providing individualised coaching support to learners with identified barriers to learning, using a range of support modes. You will agree and use support strategies that enable learners to participate and succeed on their programme and progress to higher level learning or employment.

The Lead Study Coach will work with work with Group Learning Support Delivery Managers and liaise with other Faculties to plan the work of the study coach team and to review support provided. You will mentor and induct new members of the study coach team, identify and agree developmental training needs in liaison with the Group Delivery Support Manager and advise and coach colleagues acting as a first point of reference for best practice on providing good quality support.

The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills in order to prepare and contribute to data reports across the Group. You will have extensive experience of providing support to learners with a range of SEN needs, be able to work well in a team, be able to adopt a flexible approach and have excellent communication skills. You may have a pre-teaching or teaching qualification. In return, we can offer you a range of benefits - from ongoing professional development to excellent pensions, holiday package and job satisfaction.
