Full time permanent position with an hourly rate of £13.00 to £15.00 per hour dependent upon experience.

My client requires an experienced Programmer/Setter/Operator proficient in setting and operating Hardinge multi axis mill turn machine centres, Single spindle lathe, DMG Mori Lathes and Haas TL1 centres to join their leading prototype machine shop.

This is a nightshift position – Monday to Thursday – 5.00pm to 5.00am

First 40 hours are paid at standard hourly rate; the remaining 8 hours are paid at time and a half.

Typical Working Day:

• Working to tight prototype lead times,
• You will have the ability to program, set, prove out and machine complex components in aluminium, Titanium, stainless and steel materials.

Requirements:

• You will have served a recognised apprenticeship and hold the relevant qualifications, with a proven machining background of at least 5 years in a fast paced precision engineering environment.
• Extensive knowledge of setting and operating multi axis machine tools to achieve maximum efficiency and the highest quality standards machining precision components.
• Considerable CNC working knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls.
• The unique ability to work to tight prototype lead times, consistently reproducing high quality machined products.
• Work well as part of team and prepared to be flexible to meet the needs of the team & customer demand.
