Fantastic opportunity not to be missed! The Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Quality Administrator to join the team in Holborn. Joining us on a full time 9 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,100.
The Royal College of Anaesthetists is the professional body responsible for educating, training and setting standards in Anaesthesia. We are looking for an experienced and organised Clinical Quality Administrator to support the delivery of the College’s representation on Advisory Appointment Committees, fulfilling the College’s statutory function, as well as coordinating the Invited Review process and Accreditation scheme.
The Team
The Clinical Quality team covers a diverse range of activities in support of anaesthetists and patients across the UK. Activities include providing professional advice to enquiries from the public and professionals, administrative support in the recruitment of consultants and management of patient safety issues.
The Role
As the Clinical Quality Administrator you will support hospital HR departments by finding College representatives to attend interview panels for new clinical posts. You will also support all aspects of the Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA) scheme including: raising awareness; providing information; forming part of the review team including attending hospital visits (involving some overnight stays) and a high standard of report writing skills. You will also coordinate the College’s Invited Review process, liaising directly with anaesthetic departments and senior clinicians.
The Clinical Quality Administrator role requires a high degree of confidentiality and the successful candidate will have administrative, IT, committee servicing, report writing and organisational skills, underpinned by an eye for detail, proactivity and an instinct for multitasking.
You will be a natural and methodical organiser and be able to use these skills not only to effectively manage your own workload and time, but to also offer first class support to the Head of Clinical Quality and Clinical Quality Manager.
Experience of working in a healthcare, training or education environment is an advantage but not essential, as is knowledge of accreditation and/or invited review schemes (either in healthcare or a different industry).
With excellent opportunities to develop and enhance your career, RCoA is the place to be.
