Job role:

The Data Business Analyst will work within the wider Insight & Data team across all office locations as a single source of performance data & MI and delivering payroll/mileage capture solutions to all applicable customers. You will provide support to the Account Management teams, Customer Services Managers, CRM's and the wider business at all times.

Day-to-day duties:

• To support the Account Management team to achieve the departmental strategies and objectives
• To define, evolve and deliver 'right first time' reporting and processes for P11D, payroll, management information, eligibility/HR files and data audit
• The role is primarily a reporting role but will support a number of additional projects when required
• To build and maintain excellent relationships with client contacts from implementation stage to ensure clear reporting and processes are agreed
• Reference point for internal and external customers with respect to P11D and payroll reporting and legislation
• To drive through change and improvements to processes through innovative thinking; and focus on delivering exemplary service both internally and externally
• To maintain ethical standards in accordance with business policies and the company's compliance guidelines and policies including anti-bribery and all relevant competition law
• To continually review reporting and processes as well as the provision of information across the business
• To be aware of any legislative and system changes relating to payroll and P11D processes and reporting and work with relevant teams to ensure understanding and compliance
• To ensure that P11D/payroll reporting is up to date with relevant tax guidelines, legislation and best practice and responsible for P11D and payroll report checking before submission as required
• To be responsible for system exception reporting (data audit) and provide support for any adhoc data management requirements
• To escalate issues, difficulties and opportunities to the Insight & Data Manager promptly and appropriately.
• Keep up to date with technical and industry sector developments

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

The successfully appointed Data Business Analyst will ideally have industry experience and have worked in a customer focused reporting environment. You will have the ability to prepare and analyse data and offer ideas for improvements.

Essential Skills Required

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

• Able to understand the rationale behind a process
• Strong accuracy and organisational skills

Desirable Skills Required

• Working in a customer focussed reporting environment
• Confident in face to face customer meetings
• Experience in coaching and training staff members
• Experience in Microsoft Excel and Access VBA
• Project Management experience
