Multi Skilled Engineer

One of the UK’s largest food producers supplying fresh chicken products into major retail outlets has an opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Engineer, based in Abergavenny and are offering a great package of circa £30k – £33k per annum plus benefits to the right candidate.

The Role:

• Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the successful individual will ensure that all machinery production facilities and equipment on site are working safely and efficiently through the control of a documented PPM system

• Respond to machine/equipment problems promptly and implement any corrective actions with a proactive and reactive approach whilst complying with the business safe systems of work which include all Health and Safety and good manufacturing practice
• You will be working on a rotating shift basis – day shift and afternoon shift

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a recognised qualification in an electrical and mechanical discipline.

• Good communication skills and interpersonal skills and able to work with others in the organisation at all levels as well as external contractors
• A logical approach to fault finding and problem solving is also desirable
• You must be reliable, punctual and flexible, own transport is essential
