Role Overview

The Stock Controller will

- Be responsible for all the day to day ordering of goods with aid of system driven forecasting tools

- Ensure adequate weekly stock levels at depot level are maintained on over 2300 SKUs (Within the Depot)

- Work closely with all departments within the depot (sales, distribution and admin teams)

- Clear any outstanding and pending issues

- Receipting and checking PODs against purchase orders

- Raise queries against discrepancies

- Organise credits and uplifts with suppliers

Key Responsibilities of the Stock Controller

- To manage the physical Ordering and stock levels of all sku’s

- To ensure accurate receipt of goods in on to Trinity system

- To manage and provide data to minimise obsolete stock and avoid Out of Date issues

- To ensure stock takes are carried out in line with policy

- Investigate and report on discrepancies losses and damages

- To ensure adequate stock control procedures are in place to protect company assets

- To continuously review methods and seek ways to implement best practice

- To evaluate systems and work with Company Distribution Manager to implement best practice

- Act as key holder as required for security and fire.

Skills, knowledge and experience required by the Stock Controller

- Microsoft Office (Excel and Word for spreadsheets and records)

- ‘Trinity’ system

- Good team work skills, with office staff as well as drivers and warehousing staff
